Jim's Story
hey all, jim cowell here....I'm still kickin'...well, the last 28 years have
been filled with ups & downs. Shortly after graduating, I continued working
with Newark Suzuki as a mechanic and at my own shop, Cowell's Cycle.
I also continued drag racing, flat track, and motocross racing. in late
August '81, I was racing Ohio state chamionship motocross at the Mid-Ohio
gran prix course near Lexington, Oh. Practice was okay, but I crashed in my
race over a double jump. Landed on my head -like diving in a pool - and
drove my cartligeinto my spinal cord. Bad ...Expand for more
way to land... :)
Long and short, paralyzed me self :( Life goes in...
Two year's later, I assembled a drag racing team -- CD Racing -- and found
an old buddy to race the bike for me.
After this, I went to Wright State University in Dayton, Oh. Got a B.S.Ed.
in English and American literature in 1990.
I then worked as a tutor - 90-96. Got married in '97. Got dissolutioned in
'00. Worked in costomer service for a web company from '00 -'08.
Now, just haning 'round Newark,Oh.
