Jim's Story
Hello Classmates, I joined this site to try to learn more about our classmates from the class of 1975. I have made a couple of connections. After my college years, I moved to Kill Devil Hills on the Outer Banks of NC with my older brother Richard Davis. We started a custom home building business in 1979. He left the company in 1988, but I continued on for 45 years and enjoyed my profession very much. In July of 2023 I retired from the business so I could do other things in my senior years. I have enjoyed my wife and family including three grandchildren. Currently I enjoy sailing on my Tartan 33' sailboat and also building and flying radio control airplanes. nt of the Dare County RC Flyers club. I'm also volunteering at First Flight High School--working with students. We are building a full size (Van's RV12iS ) two person aircraft. We are building it at the Wright Brothers' National Park maintenance center and am into the third and final year of the build. The plane and the new program will be celebrated at the Wright Brothers December 17 anniversary celebration of the first powered flight. So I am really enjoying my retirement. I would like to catch up with old friends and acquaintances when possible.
