Jim's Story

Life As with most everyone, life has not always been easy; however, it has never failed to be interesting, and sometimes rewarding. My Spouse Virginia Reiber was in the class of 1962 and was a senior in high school when we met. I was working on the construction of the Titan Missile Sites near Moses Lake at the time. After a year and a half we became engaged, but soon decided to go our seperate ways. We met again twenty six years later after some difficult prior marriages; however, we couldn't be happier today. In my profession I was given opportunities to meet many people from every section of our country. Virginia and I have gained some valuable friendships over the years. A few of our close friends are no longer with us, as they are now enjoying life on a higher level and in a better place. We cherish the memories we have of our association with them. I am now retired and find myself involved in more projects than I had prior to my retirement. Virginia has been very patient with me, and I appreciate her giving me some latitude in regards to t...Expand for more
he time she has sacrificed, enabling me to work on these projects. A more extensive biographical sketch of our extended family can be seen on our "Goodrich Family Organization" web site. Just "Google" Jim & Virginia Goodrich. Our Pets My wife Virginia and I have always had a great love for the feline animals; however, we only have one female cat and she has been with us for the past twelve years. She very much rules our lives. She expects us to cater to her every whim, and we pretty much do. Update: After sixteen years we lost Missie, our cat, in 2004. We now have two cats that we have raised from kittens, Princess and Job, and they are just about as much as we can handle, as they are both house cats. Our Childen Virginia and I are very fortunate; We have four healthy children and four grandchildren from prior marriages. We love each of them very much, We always look forward to hearing from them, and learning of their life experiences. We communicate with most of our children frequently, and we always enjoy being with them as often as possible.
