Jim's Story
Hi,
Just signed up for 3 months to see what this site was all about. I graduated in 1965 and right after that my folks split up. Our dad took me and 3 younger brothers to live with his sister in Michigan. I've lived in Michigan ever since. I went to work right away for a couple of years and then spent 3 years in the Army doing a tour of duty in VietNam and being stationed at Ft. Eustis, VA when not overseas. Just before going into the Army we had a house fire in which we lost everything we owned. We all managed to get out of the house okay but only with what we were wearing that night. All my yearbooks and school memorabilia were lost in the fire so I have to rely on my memory for making past connections.

nents used in turbine engines. Went to college evenings while working and to make a long story short, retired in June 2007 after 42 years.
Got married in 1978 to a woman with 3 children but we never had any between us. Now I have 7 grandchilden between the ages of 6 and 12. One grandchild has cystic fibrosis but is hanging in there thus far. She was crowned Princess for a day through the efforts of the Make-A-Wish foundation in February 2006.
Now that I'm retired I have more time for nature photography which is my favorite hobby. I used to play a lot of basketball in my youth and although I wasn't very good at it, it was enjoyable for me to do so. When I got too old to play basketball, I became an avid golfer. Back surgey three years ago brought that to an end until just recenlty as I'm slowly working my way back into playing a bit.
