Jim's Story
Life
Overall life has been very good to me thus far. Entering the Navy after high school was a good choice for me along with vowing never to settle back in Lenoir. The greatest irony is that for someone who hated school so badly, I'm still in high school (employed by Newton-Conover High School). To add to that, I'm still in detention! Really! My job is to run the media center computer lab and oversee after school detention. I actually love it. Being around teenagers keeps me young and taking into concideration my high school years, I can fall back on my knowledge of things that seemed right at the time but in retrospect may not have been so wise.

r finishing my bachelors. I started 3 times but life happened and so it goes. I have more credit hours than most people with Masters but I lack the piece of paper to prove it. No sour grapes mind you, just a fact of life. As a matter of fact, my diversity of educational experiences has made my life experience fuller than it might have been otherwise.
I find myself now married for 38 years to the same wonderful woman. My children are grow, live near by, and are both succeful in their lives, and God willing I will be retired in three more years at the young age of 62. I had planned to retire by 60 but there again, life happened.
There is much more to say, but not today.
