Jim's Story
Hi All.....Right after High School, my family moved to Arizona. I worked and went to school until Uncle Sam called. I volunteered for the draft and wound up in Special Forces. Spent 2 tours in Nam. I stayed in for 6 years, and got out and moved back to Arizona. I stayed out of the Army for a year, working a full time job at an electronics manufacturer, and going to college. Majored in Architecture and then changed to Engineering later. I went back in the Army....Air Defense Artillery...HAWK missiles. Progressed up through the enlisted rank structure and then applied to be an Officer and was accepted. I spend my final 9 years ...Expand for more
as an Officer, retiring in 91 after 21 years. Besides Nam, I was in the Grenada Invasion, and the First Persian Gulf prior to retiring. I lived in Germany for 5 years and Korea for a year, along with numerous assignment in the States. I came to work for Siemens as a Field Engineer in 92. Started in San Antonio for 4 years, then to Denver for another 4 years, and finally made it back to Arizona in 2000. I currently live East of Phoenix with property with my horses and Cocker Spaniel dog...Magnus. Guess that's enough for now. Looking forward to hearing back from you. I never made it to a reunion, and love to hear from you.
