Jim's Story

Jim is retired and living in Volcano, California. He is married to Elaine Hansen who graduated from Awalt in '66. Jim's schools include Mountain View High School.. He later attended Foothill College (Engineering) and received his BS from San Jose State University (Aeronautics). Jim joined the US Air Force and flew as a Forward Air Controller in Vietnam and later as a C-141 pilot. After leav...Expand for more
ing the USAF, he taught at San Jose State Aeronautics Department while getting an MS in Industrial & Systems Engineering at San Jose State. Jim then taught in the Aero. and Industrial & Systems Engineering Departments. He later spent 30 years as a human factors, system safety, & environmental engineer at FMC Ordnance Division (later a division of UDLP/United Defense and BAE Systems, Inc.).
