Jim's Story
Life
I joined the Navy and was trained as a Nuclear welder. I've work in that field and others while in the Service. I retired in February 2005. I am happily married with two boys. My wife's name was Sally Marquardt. She is from Grand Rapids, MI. We've lived in Guam, Japan and on each coast. So far, it's been a good life.
The last four years of my military career, I was a Training Equal Opportunity Advisor for the Navy's Pacific Northwest region.

etirement I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science. I desired and expected to continue in the EO field as a civilian. However, that didn't happen. I am currently working at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard as a Engineering Technician. I help Civil Engineers plan Non-Nuclear Repairs to Trident Submarines. Not a bad job. I've never looked back. I love to shoot my bow. I make a fair share of metal gates and fences inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright's designs.
