Jim's Story
I have lived and worked in CT ('till 1985), Miami ('till 1987) and Atlanta since then. I earned a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering and the first minor in Materials Engineering awarded by Georgia Tech in 1982. Previous jobs include fuel cell R&D, nuclear plant design, medical device QA, PCB oil cleanup and as an arms merchant. y to influence hazardous waste recycling issues on a national level, and have been personally responsible for the removal of over a quarter of a million tons of hazardous waste that had been illegally land disposed in the state. In 2007, I received a Notable National Achievement Award from EPA for my work on redevelopment of a superfund site. I am now Program Manager of the Hazardous Waste Corrective Action Program. I still live 1000 feet outside the Atlanta city limits.
