Eugene (Jim) Metz:  

Life I now go by my given name Gene. My family moved from Lockbourne AFB to Louisiana the summer of my graduation from high school in 1964. My father retired from the USAF as Lt. Col Eugene Metz, In Louisianna, I went to trade school for Drafting. Then attended Southeast Louisiana College for two years majoring in Industrial Arts Education. Worked as a Draftsman and Design Draftsman for several firms in New Orleans and Baton Rouge, La. Then worked at Exxon as a Piping Designer in Baton Rouge, La. Was hired by Brown and Root Engineering in Houston to write piping layout programs for Computer-Aided Design and Drafting. B&R Inc. a part of Haliburton then sold to KBR. I became a Systems Administrator on UNIX, Windows, and Linux Servers managing the VMware environment and backup systems for KBR in Houston. I retired from KBR in December 2015. I am happily married with 5 children 3 Girls and 2 Boys and 8 grandchildren. My wife Theresa Sziber Metz is from the Hungarian settlement near Albany, La. My children are Melody is married. Melissa is a Pharmacy Technician at Children's Hospital, Houston, Jimmy works in Server administration in a contract firm, Yvette works in Landscaping, My youngest son William, now 32 years old, is Down's Syndr...Expand for more
