Jim's Story

STORY IDEA #1 Life Most of you who knew me at Ken High would never recognise me now. I weighed about 280 when most of you knew me -dropped it down to 180 in time for senior year. After I moved to Arizona I dropped more weight, had RK done and ditched the half-inch thick glasses. I've also come out of the closet, which means that I'm gay. I've toured Europe and Australia and am living happily single in Phoenix Arizona. I still have several dozen photos from my days at Ken High, as well as about two hours of assorted audio tape, so many of the friends I knew then are still very much alive and with me. IDEA #2 - What Teacher? I'd really like to meet English teacher Rosa Bowles and thank her for giving me the idea to keep a Journal. I'd also like to see librarian Ona Hiller again, but I suspect she's passed on by now. #3 - Touring the Naval Park with Lisa Moyer and Zeta Keyes. Doing the Charleston during a fire drill. #4 - First Crush? >sigh< #7 - I certainly never expected to move out of state and tour the world. #9 - Shoveling muck at Gioia Macaroni? Punch press operator? Driver's Ed teacher (uhm...I can't drive!). ANY OTHER QUESTIONS? ASK! Look me up in the phone book! Or try me more directly as BOK 602 at hot...Expand for more
mail dot com (without the spaces and properly formatted of course). #31. My favorite way of relaxing -now as then- has always been to listen to music. My tastes have changed considerably, but the effect is still the same. I frequently listen to Mozart or NASA Voyager telemetry CDs(serious-look them up under the title: Symphonies of the Planets). #12. My mother always went places when she was younger and took me places when I was old enough. I don't mean trips and vacations in the general sense (the only "vacation" my family ever took was to Walt Disney World after my father died); I mean she would read or hear about something in the news and if it was local she would go and see it for herself. It could be a new store, a new library or whatever. She would go and look at it. That sort of curiosity about the things I saw or heard about on TV or in the paper carried over into my life. As a case in point, I recently attended the dedication ceremony for a pedestrian crossing island in my neighborhood. #19. My first crush...SIGH! I recently located and tried to make contact, but no reply. #23. I currently share my home with two roommates and a VERY co-dependent cat, which I find entertaining and only occasionally frustrating.
