Jim's Story
Jim is from Friday Harbor, Washington. Jim's schools include DeVilbiss High School. Jim later attended Arizona State University getting a degree in Accounting. Went into the Navy out of College going through flight school in Pensacola Fla. . I kind of wandered through life going from one adventure to another, always moving on when the time was opportune. I've been a Pilot, Restauranteur (65 Taco Bells in San Francisco Market), Farmer and Feed store/Grocery/Gas station owner in Oregon and Propane Plant Manager on Orcas Island WA. e. When things got slow I was resurrecting distressed farm properties with the last project being an 1850 house and a 1898 barn in Eugene Ore. ( Now the Blue Rooster B&B)
My wife Shirley & I have been married since 1980 and have moved 14 times over that period. Never had any children. We now live in Friday Harbor Wa, and LOVE IT. We do have geese, ducks, Llamas, dogs, cats, fish, and an indoor aviary with almost 20 birds. And Yes this WAS a distressed farm property.
My mantra: " Do what trips your trigger and you will succeed. Don't forget to laugh at yourself, plus NEVER pay retail for anything !"
