Jim's Story
i had been working as a caretaker on louise doyle's property for 11 years. miss doyle passed away last july (2007) and i remained on as the caretaker until january 2008, assisting with the transfer of the property to the trustees of reservations, who now own and operate the entire estate on lindell avenue.
as the caretaker, i was put in charge of many of the day to day operations of the property, including tending and planting the variety of gardens, managing an organic garden and 30 tree orchard, which consisted of apples, peaches, pears and plums. there were many other responsibilities, including tending to all of the animals on the property, managing staff, creating new hiking trails, which would eventually connect with trails i took part in creating throughout the city of leominster, as part of the leominster land trust and trails committee.

ed me to pursue them as much as possible. she allowed me to use several of the buildings on the property to create a recording studio, in order to continue making music and helping some of my friends to do the same. it was in these spaces, that i began seriously pursuing my lifelong dream of being a studio musician and engineer and i had the amazing opportunity to record over 20 cd's with a variety of very talented artists from massachusetts, new hampshire, new york, rhode island, maine, connecticut, oregon, california, ireland, michigan and more. helping artists to release these cd's on a few independent labels across the country and in europe.
after miss doyle passed away, i decided not to remain on permanently, in a new position, with 75 board members governing actions that i had been in charge of during my employment with her, and so it's my intention to open a new studio, in a new location, in order to continue recording music and remaining creative.
