Jim's Story
So...it's 2009, I'll be 47 in a few months and I'm wonderin where the time went!
Life has been good - I stayed in Colorado - moved up to the mountains in 94 and have been here ever since. I love living in the hills - it offers a kind of serenity that I could never find in the city.
I live with my three dogs - two Silky Terriors (Kasey and Bear) and one Miniature Pincher (Rocky). We have a lot of wildlife that come through the yard, deer, elk, foxes, rabbits and lots of birds.
For work, I've stayed in the IT field since college - have been in Healthcare IT ("healthcare informatics" they call it) since the mid 80's. Sometimes I think I'd like to do something else, but I always gravitate back to where the money is! LOL
I still have my '68 Camaro. I don't drive it much anymore - it sits in the garage, awaiting the next warm day so I can get it out a gi...Expand for more
ve it a bath.
My passions these days include most outdoor sports - skiing and hiking, climbing 14ers and rock climbing, mountain biking and snow-shoeing. I just love being out in the mountains.
In the summers I ride my Harley a lot. I've been to Sturgis a few times - its been 10 years ago though. I'm not really a "biker" but I love to ride. My selection of body art is a little limited compared to some of my riding buddies!
I split up with my wife of 12 years last summer. We are going through a divorce now - not a pleasant thing. Perhaps some of you can relate. It's all good though. I'm happy in my skin and happy with who I am.
As I reflect on the old days it seems we did a lot of partying. Somewhere along the line that lifestyle sort of lost it's appeal. Guess I'm trying to say I don't party anymore...but God Bless those of you that still can!
