After graduating from Lakewood, I went directly into the US Army for three years. I then remained in reserve status for the next 9 years while working for various engineering companies. In 1979 I moved to Louisiana and worked for the Corps of Engineers among others. Went back on Active Duty with the US Army in 1984 until retirement in 2002. I was an estimator for a contractor, starting the morning after I retired, for a few years and obtained my licenses to start my own commercial contracting businesses.
