Jim's Story
Well, I was in the class of 1979 at Tolleson. WOW! Those were the days. I did not graduate there..That would have been my graduating year though, had I stayed. In 1978 I moved to the samll town of Hot Springs, New Mexico. Now known as Trueth or Consequences, NM. From a population in Phoenix, Az of almot 2 million at the time to a town of 6,000 people. What a change that was. We had a graduating class in 1979 of only 127 seniors. Not, to mention the high school had a smoking section so you could catch a Marlboro Red between classes..LOL! Anyways, after graduating, I stayed in T or C, NM for a few years. I attended Western New Mexico University in 1985. I then began my law enforcement career in 1986. I continued as a law officer until April, 2002. After the Sept. 11, 2001 Incident, I moved to Artesia, NM and went to work for the Federal Law Enfocement Trainig Accademy. My possition was Law Enforcement specialist Training the U.S Air Marshalls in the Firarms Division. After my 2 year contract had expired, I moved to south Texas. I tok a long 7 month vacation on the beach at Port Aransas. In January of 2004, I moved to Cheltenham, MD. I accepted a job with the U.S Government at a 185,000 sq. foot indoor firearms range as the Assistant Project Manager. I had just recently met my wife machell, ...Expand for more
so I moved her there as well. She also went to work as a Firearms Specialist. After one year, my obligation was met and I moved back to Artesia,NM where I reside today. What do I do today? Well, this and that...I went to driving school and received my Class A CDL tanker and hazmat license and drove a tractor trailrfr (18 wheeler)a while in crude oil. Now, I am just kicked back enjoying the ranch I live on. Thats why I listed all the animals own. I truely have them all right here on the ranch. Yes, it's a large ranch. Approx. 4,000 Sections. It supports over 100 nice horses and around 2,800 or so registered angus cattle. So, there ya go..that's my life pretty much. I have two wonderful children. Tiffany 25 and Dusty 19. They are the life of my life. Their mother (Renee)was taken from us in a quadrunner accident in the Gila mountains of westen New Mexico. My daughter lives on the Neatherland Ranch which ajoin's the ranch I live on. She and her Husband gave me a beautifull Grandson (Tristen), just 18 months ago. They are my closest neigbors, about 14 miles to the south of me. So now I'm a Grandpa! My son recently moved back to T or C, NM and has joined the millitary.
