Jim's Story
Upon graduating Dulaney, I attended basic training at the Recruit Training Center, Orlando, Florida. I graduated Nuclear Field A School on 31 Jan 1991 and started attending the Naval Academy Preparatory School in August 1992. I graduated the U.S. Naval Academy on 24 May 1996 with a B.S. in Systems Engineering.
I attended the Surface Warfare Officer School Division Officer Course and reported to my first ship, the USS McCLUSKY (FFG 41), as the Combat Information Center Officer on Jan 1997. In 2001, I was stationed at the Office of Naval Intelligence. In 2003, I reported to Commander, Destroyer Squadron Twenty-four. I deployed in 2004 and in 2005, I deployed to Kabul, Afghanistan. In 2006, I attended the Command and General Staff Officer Course at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, where I earned my Masters in Military Arts and Sciences in Military History and Strategy. I reported to the Joint Personnel Recovery Agency in Jun 2007. In Jan 2008, I reported to the Multi-National Force - Iraq Joint Personnel Recovery Center (later named Personnel Recovery Division.)
Kelly and I have three daughters: Isabelle Loretta (Feb 2002), Sophia Marie (Sep 2003) and Katherine Grace (Nov 2005).
