Life
edging close to the next birthday. You know 60 looks younger every year.
Since Graduation from Central in 1969.
Graduation from US Air Force Academy in 1973 with BS in Mechanical Engineering. Stayed on active duty until 1983. Included time as Pilot, Lockheed C130 and Military Advisor to the US Army. Lived in Colorado, Arizona, Arkansas and Georgia. Traveled extensively with your tax dollars supporting my adventures.
I left Active Duty in 1983 and stayed in US Air Force Reserve for another 20 years, just retiring in June 2003. I spent the last 15 years with Special Operations Command at MacDill AFB, Fl.
Business brought me to St Pete Fl in 1983 as a Sales Engineer for an Aerospace Company as part of Pall Corporation. I have worked for Pall and Moog Aerospace in a variety of progressive Sales and Management positions for the last 20 years. Current Job is President of Pall , Aerospace and Transportation Business.
I live in Oldsmar, FL(St Pete area). We have lived in St Pete area for the past 26 years except for an exciting year in Buffalo NY. In 1992 I was part of a plant closure and relo to NY. My wife of 30+...Expand for more
years, Karen Smith, and her entire family live in the area. We have two sons, Brent, 28 works for an Investment Company, and Brandon, 25, Recently married works for Mercury Insurance. Both boys live in Locally..
Along the way since graduation I picked up a couple of degrees, learned to play a little bluegrass guitar and mandolin, picked up golf, ran a lot, travelled to spots I never dreamed of visiting, met some incredible people, became a patriot, proud to be from Tennessee, and progressed further in life goals than I ever dreamed sitting in classes at Central.
The years have taught me that your roots are the foundation that provide a solid base, God can be your best mentor; your family is the corner stone to build your life, and friends are sound support when you need it the most. I look forward to each sunrise and thankful to see the sunset. I hope that I can renew some long lost ties to those years where our entire world revolved around our classes and classmates at Central.
