Jimmy's Story
Life
After graduating from Dublin High in 1979, I attended Georgia Tech for 2 years (with Co-op work quarters mixed between academic quarters). I was still dating Sandy Wyatt and coming home from Atlanta every weekend, when I gave up on the idea of becoming an engineer and became engaged to Sandy. We married in 1981.
We built a house near my in-laws, the Wyatts, in 1983. In 1985, we had our son Taylor and 1989 brought our son Thomas into the world. Taylor went on to be a star pitcher for Dublin High, the football quarterback,...Expand for more
and an honor graduate. He is now a medical doctor. Thomas was a football player on Dublin's state championship team and the 2nd all-time leading scorer in his Dublin High Soccer career. He also became the 2007 Valedictorian. He graduated from UGA and Vanderbilt Law School. He is currently working with a federal judge.
Now, don't you think Sandy and I out-did ourselves?
I am currently Postmaster of Saint Helena Island, South Carolina and Sandy is working with CASA after retiring from Department of Family and Children Services.
