Jimmy's Story
Retired & living in a Seniors Home I am 65.
Grew up in Lachine (Montreal) Educated in both Quebec & Ontario. Professional in Ontario and retied in BC.
Still doing a bit of stage lighting
Love Dogs and not too bad at digital photography & computers either.
Like many classmates of my ilk we are 65 and entering retirement. Can you believe it I can't. - Life could be over in the next 20 years.
I always wanted to be a pianist when Anyway after grauating University I became a Human Resource Specialist and have the designations BA CHRP CRP after my name as a professional. I specialised in Labour Relations and was an International negotiator and have been in every major city in the USA and Canada.
Travel also took me all through Europe, parts of Asia and the communist North which I hated.
Before retiring I ended up as a private consultant to the Prime Minister of Malta and served there for 5 wonderful years. Great Island, full...Expand for more
of History and Religion. Malta does not keep an Ex Pats for more than 5 years, won't allow them to own land or buildings because their law requires them to pay a life time pension to such after 5 years - THEY DON"T - so VERY reluctantly the PM sent me home. I came to BC and being 50+ NO CANADIAN will hire a 50+ and Europe only hires nationalities who are members of the EU which of course Canada is not part of - so I retired.
Since I was in High School, I always did a fair amount of Stage Lighting and so did a lot of work for the Montral (then) Forum ( I think it is the Air Canada Centre now ) so I have met TONS of ROCK STARS of my era who performed there. Most interesting - Janis Joplin and Jimmy Hendrix. The WHO knew me by first name and I knew Keith Moon well before he died. Wild to say a word, but lots of fun. I have tones of stores to tell, one Montreal Rock Band even wrote a song about me (sure don't know why).
