Jimmy's Story
I'm married(30 yrs)and I live in Union (just outside of Ahoskie)NC. We have been here since 1986, and I love being "in the country". My wife, Wanda, is from this area. I met her at Chowan. She is a nurse. We have a son, Jamie (a fire fighter in Chesapeake)that is married and lives next door, and a daughter, Sarah(still at home), and going to school to be a physical thearapist.
I am a welding supervisor at the shipyard in Newport News. I am also the chief...Expand for more
(for the last 5 years) at Union Rural Fire Department, a volunteer department in the area. I have been with the department for 23 yrs. We just opened up our new $500,000 station last August.
I my spare time I hunt, fish, and collect indian artifacts from the local area. My family says that with my interest in the past,love of the outdoors, and some of the primative skills that I have picked up alone the way, that I should have been born 200 years ago.
