Jimmy's Story
Life
I joined the Marine right out of school and served four years. After my discharge, I entered law enforcement, but returned to the Marines, serving 16 yrs. During that time, I served in Vietnam and Beirut, attended Syracuse University, getting my degree in journalism. I retired as a Gunnery Sergeant of Marines. Also, I served as a military police and after my discharge, re-entered the civilian law enforcement field, eventually becoming a chief of police in a town in Mississippi. on, MS. Had to take medical retirement from the VA, nothing serious or life threatening, so now enjoying life and catching up on my fishing. This lack of work lasted about a year so I went back to a part time job. During that year of "not doing" anything, there was a lady, called Katrine, who visited us, even thought we live 165 miles north of the coast. I had a lot of storm damage and downed trees. Oh wait, that couldn't have been Katrina, everybody knows the storm only "hit" New Orleans.
I'm officially retired now, enjoying life as I hope you all are.
