Jo Anne's Story

Life Please see work biography. I wrote most everything there. Jo Anne College I graduated from SJSU with a BA in English. Then I went back to spend another 2 years in graduate school. I completed 60 graduate units and a credential in Secondary Education and ESL. I later went on to teach high school in the Eastside Union High School District for 16 years. My husband and I now own Omni Properties in Cupertino and we are real estate investors, owning multi units in Clovis and Fresno.( The questions they ask you on this thing are limiting and not really important to me, but these are the questions that are asked.) Workplace Since graduation, I have done a lot of things. I don't know where to start. I graduated from SJ State with a BA in Literature/English. Then I went on to complete 60 graduate units in Counselling, but instead decided to complete my teaching credential. For the last 16 years I have taught High School in the Eastside Union High School District. I have taught ESL, Honors English, Creative Writing, and Literature. When I got married 5 years ago, my husband and I realized that we would have to be more creative financially if we wanted to stay in the Bay Area and own a home in the Cupertino Foothills. At that time we owned one condo in Santa Clara. Since then we have sold our condo in Santa Clara and we have taken Robert Kiyosak...Expand for more
i's approach to real estate and now own 5 homes and a 33 unit apartment complex in Clovis. We have generated enough passive income that we now are no longer dependent upon our jobs for our livlihood. We have also been able to establish a scholarship fund in the name of my mother and father who were also in the teaching profession.(for 70 combined years).........The Anne and Maynard Brown Scholarship Fund where we contribute to graduating seniors who are transferring to a JC nearby. At this point in time we are trying to adopt 2 children from Vietnam. We have filled out all the paperwork, received INS approval, and finished our Home Study, but Vietnam has now closed all adoptions at this time. Now we are waiting to see what unfolds for us. A lot has happened to me in my lifetime since 1966, some good and some bad. I went through a period of spiritually searching after living a lifestyle that I wasn't very proud of in the late 60s and early 70s. I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormon) in 1973 and that probably was the most significant change I have made next to marrying really great guy (yes, they are out there)Anyway I still see my friends from highschool quite often and I am so greatful that we have kept that connection alive. I would love to here from any of you. Sincerely, Jo Anne Brown Singley
