I am living in Mississippi and have for 29 yrs. My family is from here so it wasn't some weird act of fate I ended up here. Visited here all my life. My mother moved back here to look after her mother and my sister and I eventually moved back this way also. We got really tired of all the traffic and all in California. Unfortunaltely my sister got breast cancer and passed away in 1996. She left a 3 yr old daughter. Sure miss my best friend. I met my husband here and we were together for 13 yrs but we grew apart. I lived in the country and had a couple acres, 2 horses (which wouldn't surprise people that knew me. Had horses when I lived in TO). I do not have any children but I do have lots of dogs. It seems I cannot let one go that needs a home. Three are from the shelter, one was dropped off at my house, two, a girlfriend of mine here in MS died suddenly of a stroke and I took in her dogs for her family. The latest one, a family was having to move and could not take their pet and were going to have their Lab euthanized instead of just moving off and leaving him. The local vet called me and asked if I would please take him. I did. I thought I would find him a nice home because I already had 7. Guess who is still here? So I have (3) labs, (3) husky (1) black & white Beagle and (1) white mixed breed. All my dogs are gorgeous and so sweet. I worked for the fire Department for a while when I first moved here and when I was a LOT younger too. We have Casinos here so that is where I am currently working now.
