Joan's Story

I attended Emmanuel College after high school. One sister was a nurse and the other was a teacher. Since I hated the sight of blood, I chose teaching. Then I was married to the love of my life in 1965 and I had to leave Emmanuel as you were not allowed to be married. We moved to Burlington, Vermont where we raised 2 daughter...Expand for more
s. I returned to Trinity College when I was 25 and finished my degree. I taught mathematics for 36 years and have been subbed for 5 years. I also procured 2 Master's degrees as I discovered I loved learning. Now we have 3 grandchildren, and the oldest is 25, followed by granddaughter 23 and grandson 15.. Joan Brophy Landon
