Joan's Story
I went to Balboa and should have graduated in s 1960, but I left before graduation. I was kind of quiet and not part of any crowd except for a few girls that I would love to find now. I also attended Portola JH, class of 56, Benjamin Franklin for 2-1/2 hrs. and John Muir Elementary, class of 1953. I would love to hear from anyone who went to school at the same time. r Valerie Pelofski and Corky Durant from Balboa and now I know my friend Madeline from 1954-55 also attended Balboa and graduated 61. If you know these people, please let me know. I remember standing on the corner by the ice cream place at lunchtime when girls couldn't leave the Balboa campus. I also remember the tuna sandwiches at the Dug Out and dancing in the mornings before school.
