Joan's Story
Life
Married for 26 years to the same guy. Image that! and I still like him. We said we stayed together because neither of us wanted full custody of the kids. With the last one in collage and out of the house, I guess we really do like each other.
We just had our first grandchild. I'm a Nana and love it. I won't bore anyone with grandmother stuff, but she is so gorgeous.
We live in Naples, FL. It is the most beautiful place. The beach is only 3 miles from our home. I ride my bike to it most of the time.
My husband is retired. I still work and love it. I'm a Membership Director for a private country club here in Naples. My job is not like a real job its fun. I play golf with people (not a pretty site), I have lunch and dinner with prospecti...Expand for more
ve members and go to Club events and they pay me to do this.
I am the cantor at my Church. I was one of the cantors at St. Michael's in Levittown for many years. Some of you may remember that I could sing even though I didn't do much of it in school. I was more interested in sports. But, I do sing and did sing for quite a few weddings while I lived in PA. Down here I'm afraid I do more funerals. Eeek!
Two of my children still live in PA. My youngest is here in Florida attending collage.
I try to get back to PA as often as I can to see my two older kids, my brothers, my mother (my Dad past last year)and my friends.
My dream is to travel to Ireland next year. I already live in paridise, but would like to see the rest of the country too.
