Joan's Story
I went to Elementary (Sylvan Ave) & Junior High School (James Wilson Young)with most of you in Bayport who graduated with the class of 1982.. Back then I was best friends with Patty McDonnell and Karen Goldstein (who only attended Jr High for 1 yr then moved). I lived on Renee Dr near Montauk Hwy in Bayport. I have a sister named Karen who is a year older than me. My family moved to Florida when I was in 7th grade. I hated to move and it broke my heart to leave all of my friends that I grew up with. I still think about everyone I went to school with and wonder what became of them. I only have my 7th grade Jr High School yearbook (that has no ones name in it), an autograph book that I had everyone sign before I left & my memories to go on ( & my memory isn't so good these days!)..

r Clearwater Beach). If you have never been here it is one of the most beautiful beaches! I love it!! In my 20's I did move to southern California for a yr and missed being here so much I moved back. I think the beaches are nicer! I never married but was engaged and have a beautiful 13 yr old daughter. I was a Commercial Auto Insurance Claims Adjuster for years with a nationwide well known Commercial Insurance Co. in Tampa which I loved! But had to switch jobs to be closer to my daughters school after my mother passed away. So I now sell Personal Lines Insurance at a local agency. I haven't been back to Bayport for many many years ( I think when my sister got married in the 80's). I really have been wanting to go to a High School Reunion at Bayport Blue Point High so I can see & catch up with some of my childhood friends!
