Joan's Story
I have lived in the Bay Area, Tiburon, and Cambridge MA. Forty years ago, I moved to Deerfield, IL on Chicago's North Shore. I never saw the house until the day I moved in. Long story. Had a 2nd home in Lake Geneva, WI for 18 years.
I've been married for 44 years and have a son, daughter and three grandchildren.
January 1997, my husband, Jeff, and I moved moved to a small condo on Chicago's Lakefront. "I like to say we did this in the mid...Expand for more
dle of the night" so our children would not have the opportunity to move home. We live directly east of Millennium Park and have an outstanding view of Navy Pier. We can see MI and IN. Our building has 56 stories and we even have our own precinct so we don't to go anywhere to vote!
The crazy thing is that I haven't driven for five years--walk everywhere or take the the El, train, bus or a taxi. Unbelievable for a native Southern Californian!
