Joan's Story
Joan lives in Clemmons, North Carolina. Joan's first husband, Jim Tilley, a Baptist Pastor, died in 1989. She is now married. to her second husband, John Kinzie, a bio-chemist.. Joan's schools include Hermitage High School, VCU (M.Ed), The University of North Carolina at Greensboro - UNCG, (EdD), Piedmont Baptist College (BRE). She taught in the public schools of NC and VA and served in school administration in both states, moving as her Pastor husband moved to a new parish. She also taught at 2 different colleges.
She retired from Chesterfield County Schools as a Reading Specialist in 20o4 and she and her husband moved to a home they built on the Rap...Expand for more
pahannock River. In 2014, they moved to Clemmons, NC, to be near one of her two sons. In retirement she and her husband love to travel, especially to visit her son and grandchildren in MA. They love spending time with the grandchildren in Clemmons. John has a son and 2 grandchildren in Richmond. We both read a lot and eat out often.
Everywhere she has lived, Joan has been actively involved with the music and teaching ministries of the church, playing piano and singing in the choir and small groups..
