Joan's Story
After graduation I moved to the San Fernando Valley to live with my grandparents in Reseda, Ca. I met my future husband in 1968 while working as a car hop at A& W Root Beer in Reseda. We married in August of 1969. He had two children from his first marriage who lived with us.
In 1970 our first son was born and then in 1975 our last son. I have lived in No. Hollywood , Reseda and now in Winnetka, Ca. I have been married for 41 years now and we have 5 grandkids ages 22, 21,20, 14 ...Expand for more
and 12. All our children live within 5 miles of us and that is nice. Two of the grandson live in North Carolina going to school. The other three live close.
I am now retired after working for 28 years as a Mail Carrier in Van Nuys, Ca my husband retired also from Anheiser- Busch in Van Nuys, Ca
We have done some traveling before retirement but even more since. Last year we hit 25 States in 47 days and had a great time. Hope to do more soon.
