Joan's Story
Life
Have lived in Southern VT, 34 yrs, after living all over the place with writer John. Now married to Gene, an old friend. 2 children: Joel (video documentary photog in Boston) & Lucy (psych magazine editor & ski patrol). 4 grandchildren. Retired from teaching music, humanities, &/or English for 44 years in 8 states & 2 foreign countries. I still miss it.
Now I read a lot, play the piano & cello, do Sudoku, travel, fish, play a little golf, spend time with family & friends, etc. My 2 younger brothers (Don in L...Expand for more
as Cruces, NM) & Jack (Eolia, Mo) both retired from business & have become cowboys. We 3 get together with spouses twice a year. The most recent Mo. one was in July, where we toured Ferguson, Florissant, St. Louis, etc. in an old limo, stopping at the family cenetery & seeing all our old houses & schools. In July we will all meet with children & grandchildren in Hilton Head. Two summers ago we all met here in Vermont, where we have a summer place. In July we will meet in Hilton Head with children & grandchildren.
