Joanne's Story
Since 2002 I've been living in Ludington and am very happy here. I just sold my home in Oct. and am now living with my daughter's family. In the spring my new home will be built on their land. Its just me and my Pekingese, Casey, so it will be a 2 bedroom house. I'm just hoping this is the right thing to do at my age. I'm feeling fine and want my own space again. Since I have a sister and a brother living in FL, I travel there for Jan & Feb. They are in the Melbourne and Orlando areas.
As always, I love to travel. My other daughter and her family live in the Flint, MI area, and I go there every month or so. My grandsons grow so fast, they are 5 and 8 yrs old. My granddaughter in Ludington is 3 yrs old. Hey! I started late!! So did my girls.
Casey and I walk every day that weather permits. Our usual path is somewhere near Lake MI.- usually...Expand for more
by the marina or local park area. He is 7 yrs. old and my constant companion. I never had a dog as a kid, and now don't want to be without one. Not a cat person, though.
Quiet life for me. I've dated enough over the years, but really am still happy being single, even after almost 14 years. I like being in charge of myself and being able to do whatever I wish. It is great to be free to help whichever of my kids or family that might need me.
Anyway, likes: Still reading - driving - occasional casino - shopping (less than before, though) - walking with my dog or without my dog - just being.
I am on Facebook. Although I don't write on it very much. There is a lot of stupid stuff said that people really don't want to read.
Looking forward to the August reunion. I'll take the Badger ferry across to WI and drive to Superior. See you there.
