Joanne's Story
Life
Enjoyed single life for 27 years until I married a '71 Marina Grad who was a varsity football coach on his way to becoming a Marina English teacher and dept coord. I put him through college and then he supported us while we raised our 2 sons; the oldest graduates from Marina June '04! I work for Westminster Sch Dist as the "Computer Teacher" at an elementary school, enjoy my kids' activities, and support my husband's career as teacher and now varsity football coach for Los Alamitos. We have a wonderful church family at Calvary Chapel West Grove, live in a townhouse in Westminster and love calling OC home. We've traveled to England/Scotland, Hawaii several times and MANY states in the West. We'll be married 24 yrs in July 2004. s! I miss the WHS glory days and have wonderful memories of my years there.
In the last 10 years, life has been very eventful at my house. Both sons graduated from Marina High School, the oldest married in '09 and gave us our first granddaughter in Sept '12. The second just married in March '13. My husband just stepped away from coaching football after 41 yrs to see what life without it would be like, but he still continues as an English teacher and dept. coord. at Marina. And I still continue as "Computer Teacher." We've added to our travels a 30th anniversary trip to New Zealand and Australia, a trip to the Caribbean, more trips to Hawaii and a planned cruise in Canada and New England this fall for the foliage. Our Calvary Chapel West Grove family grows more precious to us and we live a very blessed life.
