Joanne's Story
Married in 1969 to Lee Bernick; we have two sons, Ethan and his wife Chardie are both professors at KSU; Joshua and his wife Amy just celebrated their first wedding anniversary and now live in Aurora, Colorado where he is an administrator with the National Park Service and Amy is a high school English teacher. ublic Policy at UNLV. I received my B.S. degree from Iowa State in Fashion Design; M.A. of Education from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro; and an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from University of Nevada-Las Vegas. We are affiliated with UNLV, I am recently retired from teaching after 34 years. I miss my kiddos a bunch and therefore volunteer at two schools in the area. After spending a semester in Prague, Lee and I got the traveling bug across the pond.
