Joanne's Story
Life
Hanging out on the hippy steps, going to Fay's for lunch, and playing on the E.H.S. softball & basketball teams were the pleasantries of my high school days.
I also miss the camaraderie of hanging out in the girls bathroom and singing "Jeremiah was a Bullfrog". To this day nothing even comes close to copying the sound that those ceramic tiles emitted.
I would like to thank all those who made my stay at the school, after my sister passed away, a pleasant one. For without your support I would surely have gone crazy due to the circumstances.
To: Joey I. - thank you for the ride home that day, I will never forget your kindness during my time of need.
I eventually joined the US Navy in March 1977.
My stint in the Navy, lasted 6 1/2 years, or shall I say, until I got injured and honorably discharged for the second time. I then went to a technical sc...Expand for more
hool, and managed to get a degree in Audio Engineering.
I had the pleasure of working with a few professional Motown groups connected with the Eastern Seaboard Doo-Wop Shop (The Shells, The Kodaks, and The Jive Five), and with a few other (not so well known) semiprofessional lounge bands during the late 80's.
Eventually, I moved to PA (because NY land taxes got really scary) back in '91.
I started college in the fall of '99, and finally got around to getting my BS degree in Human Resource Management. Whereupon, I graduated magna cum laude from Keystone College in La Plume, Pennsylvania, in the spring of 2004.
Folks always do say: Better late than never. Of course, I had to find out if they were right or not for myself.
Currently, my focus is set on getting a secondhand shop business up and running online, and finding another P/T job to fill a void.
