Joanne's Story
After high school and two years in Lab tech training at Memorial Hospital and 3 years abroad (Bermuda then England and tour around Europe) I settled in Vermont in 1975.
Married twice, adopted 3 children with first husband. Son Jeff and Jamie and their three children RIley, Jack and Kelsey. Daughter Allison and her husband Greg and their kids Ryan and Katie. Son Logan and his wife Yhordanna, newlyweds, live in So. Lake Tahoe. Been married to George for 20 years. Still friends with first husband Andrew. Our kids and grandkids are a constant source of fun and company and we all spend as much time with them as we can!
I sub contract with a Counseling Service Agency that supports people with Mental Illness and Developmental Disabilities. Ive been employed, as well as sub contracted, with them for 23 years in different capacities. Currently Im a Home Provider for a women with DD who has been with us for 14 years. Ive supported 3 other clients in my home the past 10 years and direct service within the agency. I love what i do!

quare mile, and not quite 3,000 people. The outskirts of our little city are surrounded by farmland and several small towns ~ and we border Lake Champlain. We have a spectacular view of the NY Adirondacks on one side and the VT Green Mountains on the other.
My husband and I have a fun life. We work hard and play hard! We travel around NE mostly, camping, following music and sports, and trips with friends to never seen places. I rarely get home to R.I. My Mom and sister moved to Conn. and brother Jim passed away in 1990. I still have lots of cousins i keep in touch with. Its hard to visit and see the changes and the old homestead on the Pike ~ but whenever I do I get the feeling I want to "move back home". But Vt has become my second home and I love it here. I never take Vt. beauty and the way of life for granted. Hardly a day goes by that I don't say "wow look at that, its so beautiful" and feel that this is where I belong if I can't be "back home".
Well thats it for now. Its hard to put 41 years into the small space classmates gives you so this is the "short version" of what Ive been up to and where Ive been! Love to hear from those of you who remember me!
