Joanne's Story
I graduated from high school in 1969 and went into the Air Force (kind of unusual for a woman in those days). I made it a career, staying in for 20 years. I had the opportunity to travel to all kinds of interesting places and was stationed all over the United States and in Europe. I was married in 1971 to another Air Force member and was married for a little over 18 years. We have two wonderful sons who are now 27 and 22. When I retired from the USAF in 1989 I moved to Florida where I still live today....Expand for more
In the past 20 years since my retirement, I have had a variety of interesting jobs. I belong to a wonderful, loving church where I am very active in several children's ministries. I'm starting to look forward to retirement again in a few short years, so I can spend more time doing what I want to and playing with my grandkids. Life has certainly been an adventure so far...Great friends, fun times and only a couple of not so fun times..Pretty darn swell for the most part!! No complaints!! Life is sweet!
