Joanne (Crews)Arnold's Story
I went to college (SIU Carbondale) a couple of weeks after graduation, was there for about 3 months and moved back to Granite, got a job (two actually), got my own place and worked on 'growing up'. Got married, had two kids, went through all the joys, fears, traumas, highs, and lows of parenthood, survived it and now have 4 wonderful grandchildren (Riley, one of the girls) who is 7, Sam who is 4, Norah who is 3 and Abe who is 1). My husband Jim (of 41 yrs) retired this January (2008) having worked at the Mill pretty much since graduating from high school.

'm an active member of our church (where I received my Associates Degree from Destiny Bible Institute), an enthusiastic grandmother (a.k.a. GrammyJo), an avid 'Birder', love to Bass fish with my hubby, work with digital art (hope to make money at that someday ;o), am a member of our Craft Guild at church in which we are involved with several craft shows in the community, since Christian music isn't a choice in 'Q&A's I'll add that I for the most part listen to Christian music at WIBI 24/7 or on CDs, LOVE God and my country and feel blessed to be an American.
