Jodi's Story
Life
After graduating from SRHS, I left CA and attended college in Iowa and graduated with a BA in Mathematices. I married in 1990 to my college sweetheart and we settled in Independence, Missouri. I taught Middle School Math in the inner city of Kansas City, MO for six years while my husband completed his MA in Conducting. I took a year off of teaching to complete my MS in Mathematics and then we moved to Iowa City, Iowa for my husband to complete his Doctorate of Music in Percussion...Expand for more
at the University of Iowa. I taught high school math in a rural school district which graduates only 40 kids each year. A nice change from the inner city. We returned to the Kansas City Metro and I now teach High School math in Independence, MO.
We had our first baby in April 2003, a little boy we named Aaron. Up until then our only "child" was our cat, Pixel. Family life is great. In my experience, it is much easier being a mommy than being a teacher. So I am having great fun.
