Jodi's Story
Life
Well, it's been a very interesting journey on this road called life. I've been fortunate to visit some interesting places. I've survived earthquakes, typhoons, volcanos & the infamous California freeways. Recently celebrated my 39th b-day. I've got 3 really awesome kids (son 17, daughter 14, son born on my 39th bday). I currently work customer service for a local pest control company. I also enjoy doing volunteer work in my spare time.
I've just recently become involved with the SCA (Society for Creative Anachranism). I'm in the kingdom of Caid, Barony of Calafia. Our household is the Freeship Blackwolf. I'm the navigator, my husband is Captain, and Aidan is the Deck-pooper !st Class. :-D
School
I actually started at Tolleson Union High. In February of 82, I moved and transferred to Trevor Browne. I really loved being at TGB. My favorite memories of high school are hanging out at lunch time with my friends. Most of my friends were from ROTC. My favorite teachers at TGB were Mr Sharp, Mr Forrest, Sgts King & Medowicz, Mr Boyer, Ms Dewberry in the nurses office and LaRue, who was the receptionist in the Counslers Office. I hope to be able to connect with some of my best friends, Dawn Spiller ...Expand for more
(Tolleson) and Julie Bateman (TGB). I know you guys are out there somewhere, CALL ME! *grins*
Workplace
I love doing customer service work. It seems that ever since I got out of the military, I've always managed to find a job in that field of work. My favorite positions have been working in the call centers at Metro One and at Lloyd Pest Control. Of course anyone that knows me, realizes that talking on the phone all day is the perfect job for me. :D
Military
I joined the Navy in November of 1984. I only stayed in for 4 yrs. I went to boot camp in Orlando, Florida. Then I did my "A" school in Norfolk, VA. After completing school, I was transferred to northern California, where I stayed for about 3 and a half years until I got out of the service. That is where I met my future ex-husband. I ended up doing more traveling as a Navy Wife than I did as an enlisted sailor. In 1991, my family and I spent 6 months in Subic Bay, Phillipines until we got kicked out of the country. Actually, the kids and I were evacuated out due to the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo. We spent 2 years in Guam (92-94) where we experienced 5 typhoons and 1 8.2 earthquake. Mom always said I was a walking disaster waiting to happen! LOL
