Jodi's Story
Great News!!! Vinnie Jr. got engaged. He and Lauren are planning a spring 2010 wedding. We've been busy looking for the perfect place. Updates will follow!!!
I am presently living in Belmar, N.J. just one short block from the beach (heaven!!). I have been married for 24 years to Vinnie Balestrieri(my college sweetheart) and we have four children and a Golden Retriever. Our oldest son, Vinnie, graduated from college in 2006 with a degree in Psychology. He is now 1 class away from his Masters and will continue on for a doctorate degree. Michael is 20 and just started his third year at the University of Delaware. He too, is majoring in Psychology. Do you think they're trying to tell me something?? Our third son, Nicky is a Junior at Manasquan High School (the alma mater of Jack Nicholson). He is very athletic and keeps us running like crazy. She too, is very athletic and keeps us busy. After 3 boys I was hoping for a prissy little girl. No such luck!!! As for me, I am working part time as a special ed teacher for the Monmouth-Ocean Ed. Services Commission. It's the greatest job ever!!! My husband teaches autistic children and has been a retired NYC police officer for many, many years. We're hoping for our son to become engaged soon(same girl 7 years, his h.s. sweetheart, we love her!!) and also looking forward to grandchildren. We miss having little ones around. However, we are enjoying the freedom of actually having a life again. We were the type parents who never did a thing without the kids so I guess we were looking forward to having a life. The funny thing is that we very often go out with our oldest and his girl(double dating!!). It's fun and we secretly can't wait until they're all of "age" to come out with us. I'll post any major changes but for now, see ya!!
