Life Jodi Perito's Bio. I was born in Hollywood California. My Parents were divorced at the time. My oldest sister was 3&1/2 AND my parents remarried when I was 7 months old. returning to Colorado, they had three more children after me and we lived in North Denver(THE ITALLIAN CAPITOL) until my parents could afford thier first house which they bought in Northglenn in 1968. Needless to say all five of us kids terrorized the teachers in Northglenn schools! I played piano since I was 6 and ended up in several bands playing with some kids from highschool and some famous, million selling musicians also. THE 'DEL VIKINGS' , they were a 1950's DO=WOP BAND . THE SONG YOUR FOLKS WILL KNOW IS "COME GO WITH ME" I have been a Cosmetlogist for 27years working in, DENVER, THORNTON, wheatridge, eventually opening my own salon in northglenn then moving it to Westminster. I have been published 7 times I write poetry.I AM CURRENTLY FINISHING MY MASTER TRANSCRIPT FOR MY FIRST FULL BOOK OF MY ORIGINAL POETRY NAMED...."SOUL EVOLUTION" THAT WILL BE SOLD ON AMAZON &. AUTHOURHOUSE I was married in 1988 had one daughter, she is 22. I helped my husband raise my stepson who is 28 now. We haave 2 grandchildren. I have been married 23 years my husband is from Ogallalla Nebraska. I got involved in Pageantry in 1988 and after competeing Many times I became Mrs. Colorado American Queen in 1992-1993 . I found that funny after having the nickname since 2nd grade of GRODIE JODIE!!!!!" I WAS the dorkie kid with red hair, glasses freckles and was unfortunate enough to have to wear a patch over my eye from 1st to 4th grade due to having amblyopia,a childhood vision problem, & SUFFERING A SPEACH IMPEDIMENT. I have been a hairdresser for 27 years. my daughter is involved in piano as I was, she was the 2005 season pianist for the COLORADO YOUTH SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA,currently she works at the #1 t-mobile store in the state of Colorado andis the #1 salesperson. I am 9 YEARS INTO MY recovery from a motorcycle accident, I RODE MY OWN BIKE FOR YEARS WHICH WAS A 1999,YAMAHA VIRAGO 1100, MY HUSBAND AND EVERYONE WE RODE WITH WERE HARLEY OWNERS. I sustained A TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY, WAS ON LIFE SUPPORT , FLEW FLIGHT FOR LIFE, COMA, and I have lost over 50% of my VISION, The medical name for this condition is called, "HYMOMONOUS HEMIANOPIA" what that means is that I am blind in he left side of my brain. NOTHING WRONG WITH MY EYE BALLS.....IT IS BRAIN DAMAGE. I am not able to drive or work. and I had to close my beauty salon, because quite frankly..... nobody wants a blind chick doing thier hair, or driving a car! I am fortunate , because my husband was actually planning my funeral the first week after my accident while I was in a coma. , when I started pulling through, we were told I would BE IN A WHEELCHAIR, luckily, my disability is my visual impairment and some CHRONIC PAIN, and other issues.
