Jodi's Story

Life The 70's...ELTON JOHN, "Welcome Back, Kotter", KC and the Sunshine Band, "Bohemian Rhapsody", "Saturday Night Fever" Farrah Fawcett hairstyles....just some of the memories Im sure we all have. Good memories, fun times and GREAT friends...And I guess there were some wild times and it is no wonder our parents worried. After all, we were the future of America and it didnt look too good!!! But like most people, after graduation I worked during the day and continued my education at night. I always had wonderful jobs that paid well and most of all, I enjoyed them. By far, the most important, fulfilling and rewarding job I will ever have is being a mother to my daughter. She is a great child, although she has her moments. But we all do!! At 46, I became a single parent when my husband of 19+ years died. Saying goodbye is never easy and after 19+ years of marriage to me, I know he earned his place in heaven!!! My daughter and I currently live in North Carolina. My strong faith in God has always helped me thru difficult times and gave me the courage to know something better would be coming. As a teenager, sometimes I would wish to change some things in my life but now, I have to honestly say I would not change one moment of my life. Not that my life was perfect....far from it...but I really like myself now, and if I changed one moment, I wouldnt be the person I am today. It took a long time for me to finally be comfortable in my own skin. And like most people, I made my share of mistakes a...Expand for more
nd bad decisions when I was young and stupid like I was supposed to do....but I learned a lesson and I hope I am a much improved person. It took me a few years to learn life isnt about having the biggest house, most expensive cars or fanciest clothes because those things dont really matter. True happiness comes from within. It is about being kind and respecting and treating people the way you would want to be respected and treated. If anyone would like to Email me to say "hi", Id love to hear from you. I promise that if you are kind enough to remember me enough to say "hi", I will certainly remember you!!! My favourite way to blow off steam and de-stress is to take a walk outdoors to reconnect with my spirit. To be truly happy, I would be exactly where I am right now, with the people with me right now doing exactly what I am doing. My current age is 50. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be dead. I was so completely WRONG, thank GOD. My best friend would tell you I'm too easy going and march to the beat of a different drummer, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as unusual. The weirdest job I ever had was trying to finish this bio for Classmates.com. I share my home with my daughter and dog, which I find relaxing. If I had one do-over it would be to not try to finish this crazy bio!!! In 10 years, I hope to be a better person than I am now. I'm going to get there by always being kind, honest, sincere and generous to whomever I can.
