Jodi's Story

Hi, Thanks for stopping in. While working at the Hyatt on Capitol Square in Columbus when it opened in '84, I eventually transferred with the Hyatt Hotels to California. I'm now living and loving life in Santa Barbara, and have been on the west coast now for over 19 years. I have one daughter, Amber, who lives in N. Carolina with her husband, and they've blessed me with 2 beautiful grandchildren. I just wish they lived closer. : / I enjoy making my living as the Activity Director at The Samarkand (Persian for "Land of hearts desire") an upscale senior community that is both a beautiful and rewarding place to work. lan and coordinate a variety of events, programs, art classes and outings for a wonderful group of independent living residents, I also coordinate the occasional wedding outside of working at The Samarkand.. I am in awe on a daily basis at the beauty that surrounds me in this part of the country. I thoroughly enjoy the mountains and ocean, and the many outdoor activities one can choose to experience year round. I look forward to coming home to Columbus and visiting friends and family when possible. I hope to attend the next (yikes, 40th!) reunion in 2017; haven't been to one since the 10th. Hope to see you there! Jodi
