Jody's Story
Life
1975 what a year- I said so long to a long list of classmates began my trip through life.
1976 I married Jay who was from Malvern, Iowa and we moved to Julesburg Colorado. Worked the summer and returned to Ames Iowa in the fall for College. Jay was in college and I was just working. Our daughter came along in 1977 and before you know it our son was here too. They filled the 80's for me.
We had a home in Nevada and a small thriving business as well.
Then Death and destruction arrived and after all the mess I went into the army and Jay stayed with the kids- That filled the years up to 1999 and then a granddaughter came along and that filled most my working years.
I got a degree as a desktop publisher and Computer Graphics Designer and began yet another thriving business out of my home. The early years of 2000 have gone whittling by and we now have 5 grandchildren 4 of whom I get to baby sit on a regular basis.
We are building a green (energy efficient) home and what a time we are having making decisions. The grand kids all have their own rooms as will my daughter and her h...Expand for more
usband. Jay and I will have our own suite Crazy yes however that's how much things have changed in our life times.
I return to Iowa now and then and even have been to Nishna Valley to show my grandkids where I went to school. The oldest who is 8 thinks its funny I went to school just a few miles from her grandpa.

School
Nishna Valley was a big change from going to school out on the west coast. However I was able to be more involved with my younger brothers and sister when we were in school. I did enjoy Band and track and field. Shop was fun when Ruth Hedlund was around and then again it was all what we made of it wasn't it?
2011 is here now and wow what a life. We Jay and I are living with our daughter and the grandkids, we have our own suite and enjoy living life to its fullest. I am brgining to look back and see all the rights and wrongs and happily there are more rights than wrongs.
I am wondering one thing- Jeff Miller and I used to race to see who got out of the parking lot first... I just want to know if Jeff ever learned how to drive that vet I passed him in. LOL
