Jody's Story
Life
I was born and raised in Omaha, NE. After graduating from Benson High I lived briefly in Austin, TX. When I moved back to NE, my family was in the process of moving from Omaha to Boelus, a village in central NE. I went to business school in Grand Island, then attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney. After that time I moved back to Omaha and worked as manager of a photography studio. I returned to Boelus and worked for 3 years in a factory in Alda, NE that made computer parts, then later made auto parts. After being laid off, I returned to Omaha once again and worked at the Marriott Reservation Center. In 1986 I returned to Boelus for the last time and a year later I married my longtime friend Greg Lehn and we bought an acreage on the edge of town. I joined Greg working at the factory again for a year and a half after our wedding, then spent 10 years working at ITI Marketing in Grand Isla...Expand for more
nd, first as a supervisor, then as an insurance agent. Greg and I were married for almost 13 years. During that time we never had children, but adopted lots of strays (one dog and many cats), plus we had over 20 neices and nephews to spoil (3 of them my siter's girls and the rest from Greg's side of the family). My life abruptly changed on Labor Day of 1998 when Greg and I were canoeing on a small lake north of town when the boat capsized and I was unable to save his life after several attempts. A year later I had a modular house built and placed on our property where I still live. Since then I've spent most of my time being a good aunt/godmother to my neices and nephews and doing odd jobs from time to time, including designing websites. Although I dated on and off the first few years after Greg's death, I am still single and living with my black lab, Shiloh. She is now the love of my life. <smile>
