Joe's Story
Life
Happily married to Janice (Welborn) since 1973; we're empty nesters now, keeping busy with grandchildren and church (always lots to do there!) and occasionally managing to travel a bit (New Hampshire, Vermont, New York and Toronto for the foilage this past October).
My Kids
Josie, our oldest, is an Early Childhood teacher and was married in 2006. She and her husband moved back to Orlando not long after the wedding.
Zachary is working and training in a materials testing firm (concrete, soil, etc) and is really enjoying the hands-on training and the opportunity to get "out of the...Expand for more
office" quite a bit. He and wife Jeanette gave us Madison Mae, our first granddaughter, in September 2007.
Becca and her family, including Joshua (5) and James (4) are in Nashville, TN where her husband works as a Database Manager for a large healthcare network.
My Job
I am a Senior Conceptual Estimator for the Southeast District of Hensel Phelps Construction Co. in Orlando, FL. In a nutshell, that means I prepare and administer estimates for projects before plans are developed, then manage the design and buy-out of the project to maintain the integrity of the original estimate.
