Joe's Story
Life
If the Lord would call me home tomorrow, I honestly feel that I have lived a "Blessed Life". A high school friend (Norma Perales) told me that I was going to be rich. At the age of 18 all I could think of was $$$, Little did I know. I've been blessed with a family, health, and the ability to keep up with our bills.
After high school, I joined the Marines, and married Rachel Hernandez. At the age of 18 when we were married, I could not picture us together at this age. I praise God for giving us the wisdom and courage to stick together through the rough weather and see it through. I honestly feel that we have never been closer. Do you think it could be old age? Just kidding. Rachel is a stay at home grandmother and my partner in life. We have (3) kids, Erika Jo, Joe II, and Amanda Nichole. We also have (3) grand kids, Marcel...Expand for more
o, Joe III, and Ava. Rachel and I still live in Oak Cliff (I'm sorry OC is where I feel at home). I was heavily involved in La Calle Diez CDC and the Adamsom PTA during the 90's. We were trying to revitalize OC. My kids went to Adamson 97', Molina 00', and Tyler Street Christian Academy 03'. I left the USMC in 84' and became an electrician. I'm still at it. I am currently a Account Manager and part of great company " System Electric" out of Plano. Rachel and I have been Blessed to travel a bit. We have had several trips to Italy, France, and England. At my age the Lord still takes me on journeys in life. I had a blast in high school, I just wished that I would have stopped and smelled the roses a little longer, instead of trying to rush things. Peace.
"May God Bless everyone that I have crossed paths with in my journey in life"
