Joe's Story

Well I had lots of potential and everybody in my family had really high hopes for my lifes journey and they all knew I could become a great great and very valuable member of society.....which makes my story all the more disappointing and it's one that echoes across the specific spectrum and sociatal class of which we, us,our tweener class, not quite classified Baby Boomer's and just shy of the beautiful Flower Children of the Hippie Generation. I have great admiration for each respective generation and the only label I can say our generation can lay claim to would be.....directionless internal self centralisimportmore gratification at any cost with no moral sense and even less common sense when achieving parenthood status. We failed our kids in mass and thats what we did and were good at. Communication, thoughtfulness, charitable qualities, manners and hard work incompassed the very rarest of our ilk. ure was a path that would be lit for all to watch and ruminate with great joys and ride a side the spectacle that was to be my life. To find out failure and lackluster jobs would only mirror even worse choices called friends and bad marriages that nobody felt a fitting well fit yet watched fall apart without assist or truth uttered be it friend or family few. Nope, hapless, drunk, violent, loud, looser, godless, druggie, jailed once or twice, classes judges ordered to attend to compli. Alone I find no one to blame anymore and with arthritic fingers gnarled I see them, like all the others, pointed at me! No excuse from the guilty I that is a story heard all across this band in time of which we call OUR generation..best we not take a name and do what we do best...sidestep responsibility avoid and deny blame or even being part of this human culture that allowed the earth to go past the point that marked the end of the humans chances to see the next milleniia and not live to know how tragic our lives truely where, all lost with not a life reaching the level of all who had hopes....of all who had dreams.... joe hanlon spellcheckis4wimps
